Would this work for keg fridge conversion?
« on: July 08, 2017, 07:19:45 am »
Hello,

I'm interested in buying a small fridge to convert to a kegerator. I found this on Craigslist. Would it be adequate?

Thanks folks.

Looks like the Danby that many use. Will require door modifications, but should work.

Looks like mine did before conversion.  Snug fit for the 2 kegs room for the co2 on the rear hump

Looks similar to mine.  If it's the "all refrigerator" model, you're in business with some door mods.  If it has the small freezer at the top, you will have to do some careful bending and relocating of the cool plate to the back wall.

Edit:  Yes, I now see that it's the "all refer" model just like mine.  Works great.  Go for it.

Note:  Before you drill the top to mount your tap tower, turn it on high and leave the door open for a half hour or so.  Feel the top for warm areas and don't drill near there.

Many of us would be on a strict liquid diet if it weren't for pretzels.
