EHerms and Water
« on: August 26, 2017, 06:27:12 am »
Hey all,
I am in the final stages of completing my panel for an eherms build. I will be using a 50 amp panel (2 heating elements can run simultaneously)and 3, 20 gallon kettles for ten gallon batches.  On my old system I was (and will be) using Bru n Water for water treatments. I have always added salts to the water only and not directly to the mash. I am not sure if I will have enough space to no sparge and am unclear as to how to proceed with these treatments especially if I have to do a batch sparge. I was thinking about using the boil kettle to heat the water and treat it while the HLT heats then run the BK water into the mash and recirculate into the coil after that but I still can't figure out how to rinse the grains with properly treated water after that. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
