Malt liquor question

What BJCP category would malt liquor fit into?

It depends on the recipe, the strength, and how deceptive or not the alcohol might be in how the actual beer tastes.  It could be any of the following:

1B. American Lager -- if the alcohol isn't strong, and it tastes "weak" for a malt liquor.

2A. International Pale Lager -- if it tastes "German" enough but not too strong.

4B. Festbier -- if it tastes very "German" and strong.

31B. Alternative Sugar Beer -- if it's just an American Lager with a buttload of extra sugar.

34B. Mixed-Style Beer -- if it's anywhere in between any two of the above.

Imperial light American lager?  ???

Essentially, yes!  Actually, if the rumors are true, every lite lager starts as a malt liquor, which is subsequently watered down purposefully by the big boys, thus inflating profits well above the amount they need to spend on advertising, which is also huge.
