Home Brew as a favor for Bridal Shower
« on: March 23, 2017, 12:41:33 pm »
Daughter #2 of 4 is getting married in May.  I am brewing a hoppy American IPA for her bridal shower (40 guests) at the request of my wife.  Since it requires ~6 weeks from brew to consume, I will be firing up the kettle this evening.

The bottles will have a custom-designed label so that the bottle can be used as a keepsake/favor from the shower.  I thought this was a great idea and it is giving me great pride to make the brew for her.  The hoppy AIPA was her choice, and I am excited about brewing it.

Of course, the pressure is on...it's got to be very good, clear, and drinkable.  I figure I have two shots at it.  If the young beer 1 week into fermentation doesn't look or taste right, I can fire up another batch.

That's awesome. I brewed, with help from friends, the beer for my wedding. That and an awesome DJ were my only two musts.
