WLP008 Yeast Fermentation
« on: October 29, 2017, 08:58:24 am »
I have a IPA that I’m using WLP008 East Coast Yeast. I’m debating weather I have a infection starting or this Yeast just takes a long time to finish. Does anyone have experience with this strain?

OG 1.058 after 1 week I am at 1.010. The airlock is still slowly bubbling probably once every 15 seconds. There is still krausen on top. I tasted the sample and it had some tartness to it which in line with the strain. Not sure if my tastebuds can determine if this is ok or if it’s infected?

Can anyone shed some light my way?  I did dry hop with 4oz on day 5.

I did just find this which is what I’m experiencing except for my tasting the sample.
