Origin of Wyeast 3822
« on: November 07, 2016, 12:39:41 pm »
I`ve been brewing lately with the Wyeast PC: 3822 Belgian dark ale. It`s a great yeast: attenuation is great, yeast stick tot the bottom and nice yeast profile.

However I`m curious about the origin of this yeast strain. It`s used to be called Dutch Castle or Ingelmunster. However I brewed a Belgian dark ale and the yeast profile is different from Kasteel beers.

Does anyone have any idea?

Have you tried contacting Wyeast with your question? I bet they are willing to assist.
