I have dumped plenty of perfectly good beer down the driveway to make room for other batches I would rather drink, that's for sure. I have never forced myself to drink a batch of beer I didn't care for. I can relate with you there for sure.

Dang, you got me!  But here in NE Ohio I won't be breaking out the grill until...wow a long time.  No wonder I didn't think of that!  It's all about hearty soups and braises around here now.

This beer (Sam ‘76) tastes like hoppy water. Way too light to carry the hop aroma and flavor load. More bitterness is also desperately needed.

I’d breakout the grill, but it just floated down the flood water. Folks here are going to be under water. Think I’ll skip Ol 76.

I ended up blending Sam ‘76 with an IPA that was too sweet and chewy. The resulting blend was good. I won’t buy Sam ‘76 or that chewy IPA again, but, at least I found a way to not throw it out.

I actually managed to finish the 6 pack. It was easy to crush after a hard work out. But after I drank one I never wanted another. I also drank it straight out of the can. lol

I'm finally trying this for the first time and I totally get what Sam is doing here. I'm at the Sox game with the sun beating down on my shoulders, and this beer is exactly what Im looking for. Big hop aroma, just enough ibus without being firmly bitter, fresh malt flavor, and it goes down really easy. This is a lawnmower lager at it's finest. I've found my cookout beer for the summer
