In the South we eat pork, black eye peas, and greens on New Year Day. How about you — do you have a traditional New Year meal?

Pork and Sauerkraut.  German thing.

I get the German thing.  Pork, sauerkraut, pickled herring, duck, mashed potatoes.  Every year at the in-laws.  This year we also had goose.
