I'll be there....Tues - Sun.

Haven't been to Portland since the late '90's when I though Rock Bottom had the best beer around.

I'd love to meet everybody one day.  But sorry, not this year.  Wife's got me on a pretty short leash.  If I beg really hard, and the Con comes close to home again, someday I'll make it.

I am flying in Wednesday and Miss Ellen arrives Sunday afternoon.  We switch from the conference hotel to the Kennedy School for a few days afterwards.  I love that part of the country.

Flying in Wednesday afternoon and flying out Sunday morning.

I hope we can have a meet-up like we did in Baltimore (last HBC I went to).

It is on my radar! Susan has us booked into the Hotel Oregon, never stayed at one of their hotels, but have had the beer.

I'll be there at least for the conference and hopefully a few days before/after since I have friends in the area and have never been. Waiting out the spring breakers to see my disposable income and therefore how long a trip I can book.

There are some pre-conference tours that are being organized by Brewvana. You should have received a link to book one in your confirmation email. They will be listed on that 'week events' page next week. That page fills up with events submitted by any brewery/business around town. I know that there is a lot planned, but getting folks to register their event on that page is surprisingly tricky! Thanks for the heads up.

Here's a link to the pre-conference tours: https://www.brewvana.com/homebrew

We ate breakfast there once.  I think that hotel claims some haunted theme or space aliens or something.  I like everything about McMenamins with the possible exception of their core beer selection.

Any recommendations for a hotel or an area to stay?
I noticed that several of the "official" hotels are on the other side of the river in the Pearl district.  Is it easy to get to the Convention Center  from there?
Better restaurants or beer venues on one side vs the other?
