printing labels for 2014 nhc
« on: March 15, 2014, 10:22:09 am »
I am attempting to print the labels and they are coming out small: 2"x2.5". Is this to be expected? The printer is hp officejet pro 8600. I had used it for another contest and the labels were the size I was accustomed to seeing. any suggestions

Same happened to me yesterday. I switched to Chrome and the forms opened and printed at the correct size.

Hi guys,

If your labels were printing too small, the problem seemed to be tied to a down-level version of Internet Explorer.  The solution is to upgrade IE, or switch to Firefox or Chrome to print your labels.

Good luck in the competition!

Cheers,
Janis

as someone who packed away about 400 entries today, let me say that there are plenty of you with teeny labels and they were still easily readable.  No worries.

good luck...

The barcodes scanning were hit or miss depending on how crisp the printing was on the smaller ones but I consider that a minor issue and wouldn't personally discourage someone from using the smaller ones if they are having trouble getting them to print at normal size.

It's 2018 and the problem still exists.  The latest version of IE does not fix it, and I don't have Chrome on either of my computers.  I learned that printing in landscape helps some, but I really don't know what size I am shooting for.  Reggie generates a pdf that you can print actual size, but with just a pop-up on the screen you don't have that as an option.
