Vacuum sealing whole hops
« on: June 19, 2018, 09:59:03 am »
I just bought a vacuum sealer and went to seal up some whole hops.  But when I get them in the bag, and close the bag up to get ready to seal it, a bunch of leaves stick to the sides and dissipate upward, preventing any kind of seal that holds.  It must be static electricity or something that causes leaf matter when I press the bag together.  Does this ring a bell with anybody?  Has anybody experienced this?  If so, any tricks you'd be willing to share?

Yep.  Crinkle the bag before you put the hops in.
