Kegging with The SUB Torps?
« on: April 22, 2018, 06:20:46 am »
Hello Everyone!

First post and never kegged a homebrew before. I’ve been looking into some kegging options that would save on space. I have a chest freezer that I use for cold lagering so I’ve been thinking about turning it into a kegerator BUT had a (possibly) better idea this morning.

I currently have The SUB draft system and was wondering if anyone else has tried repurposing the spent Torps by filling them with a homebrew? If so, how did you do this? Would you still need to add priming sugar to the beer before you fill the Torp? Are the Torps even reusable at all?

Just curious to see if anyone has tried this, I don’t want to waste any of that precious homebrew!

Cheers!

I was doing some research on a similar topic and found an article about reusing the Torps if you are interested in a read:

Not sure if you could keg/carb in the torps but you could definitely transfer FROM a kegerator to fill these up and use/reuse them as needed.

If you do end up kegging please post your process/pix and let me know how it goes!
