Anyone have experience with A20 yeast?
« on: May 05, 2018, 04:06:45 pm »
I was given a test tube of a wild yeast called A20 by a friend who said it is great at bringing out citrus and fruit flavour in IPAs. I have a vision for a soapberry IPA   Any thoughts?

That is indeed imperial citrus. I don’t ya e any experience with it but their website is pretty helpful.
On Tap/Bottled: IPL, Adjunct Vienna, Golden Stout, Honey Lager
Fermenting: IPA
Up Next: mexi lager, Germerican pale ale

I have used it in several tasty batches of NEIPA.  Provided the creamy mouthfeel and a very hop forward grapefruit aroma/flavor when combined with simcoe hops.  I didn't really taste any funkiness as described by imperial.  Didn't have any musty/barn coat flavors.
