Derek, have you read this?  https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2018/05/five-things-i-learned-about-ab-inbev-while-reading.html

Quote
Everyday food occasions: Budweiser, Bud Light, Busch, Busch Light

Hanging out occasions: Bud Light, Budweiser, Natural Light, Rolling Rock

Indulging occasions: Bud Light Lime, Rita beers, Shock Top, Stella Artois

Partying occasions: Bud Light Platinum, Budweiser Black Crown, Beck’s, Rita beers

Relaxing occasions: Budweiser, Bud Light, Busch, Busch Light

Savoring occasions: Stella Artois, Shock Top, Goose Island, Leffe

What? First, I want someone to explain the difference between "Relaxing" and "Hanging out". Then I want someone to explain the difference between "Indulging" and "Savoring". Then someone needs to explain how BL Lime and -Rita beers are indulgent. Then I need someone to explain why Bud & BL are good for both "Hanging out" and "Relaxing", but NL & Rolling Rock are for "Hanging Out" and Busch and Busch light are for "Relaxing". Then I need....

Because somewhere, a marketer needs to justify their salary.

Great read.

"The billion-dollar question AB InBev must answer is: how do they stop their most prized brands’ volumes and values from eroding due to a significant price gap at retail vs craft, when they cannot take the brands’ prices up without risk of losing even more significant volume to their competition given their consumer and competitive set for those brands? Answer: they bring the price of craft down."

That's just terrible. We have to band together and stop the man from bringing the price of beer down!

Woah! I don’t mind spending $10 on a sixer but unless I know it to be something epic that’s about where I stop and don’t usually buy those expensive bombers either. But then cheap beer for me is typically a twelve of Sierra Nevada or New Belgium, though I have a soft spot for the Foster’s Premium Ale (formerly known as ESB).
