Good Source for Plastic Washers ?
« on: August 03, 2010, 11:54:13 am »
What is a good source for the plastic washers that fit b/w the CO2 tank & regulator?

Also, the plastic flared 1/4" washers for tubing fittings?

Thanks.

I don't know specifically, but I bet you can find them here:

www.mcmaster-carr.com

These guys seem to have everything.  Maybe someone can chime in with a part number.

Yeah, I looked there.

I found some that might work for the regulator (I have to do some measuring)  but they didn't seem to be much cheaper than the LHBS's.  I couldn't find any of the small flared washers.

Maybe I overlooked something.

Wherever you refill your tank, you should be able to get the regulator gasket.  They also sell a screw in fitting that holds an o-ring for this.  I'm not a fan of these.  The gasket seems to work better for me.  I fill my tank at the local fire extinguisher supply house, and they have all the gaskets as well.

I get new washer each time when I exchange my tank.
Ask for it next time.

You can get both items here:
http://www.kegkits.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=Orings

They tend to be a bit slow with shipping.

Not my own experience but there had been a lots of complains against kegkits.
So my recommendation would be do a business with more reputable company.
