Sierra Nevada Summerfest 2018
« on: April 21, 2018, 01:06:58 pm »
Is it me or does Summerfest taste completely different this year?

I remember it as not having much flavor, but the one I'm drinking now is pretty malty and has a noticeable hop presence.  It also has kind of a macro, import-lager flavor to it.

It's a lot better than what my memory of it was.

This particular bottle was packed on 3/23, so it's only 4 weeks old - tastes great.

Picked up a 12 pack last week. It is definitely a nice beer. Well balanced in that the malt and hops both have a very noticeable presence, but neither dominates. I'm not a big lager fan, but this one I like.
Beer is my bucket list,

Haven't tried this year's yet, but Summerfest has sure changed over the years.  Didn't used to like it at all, last year really did. The recipe description on their site this year looks pretty much like last year.  Look forward to trying it.
