What’s cooking for Father’s Day Sunday?
« on: June 15, 2018, 02:09:22 pm »
I am going to smoke a 13 lb Prime Packer. We have baked beans, cole slaw, macaroni salad, potato salad, watermelon, all kinds of BBQ sauces (for those who use it), chips and dip. I have an English Summer Ale, an American Pale Ale (both homebrew), Diet Coke for Nana, and fruit drink for the kids.

We’ll have three (adult) kids and five of the G kids for a (hopefully) drama-free, relaxing dinner.

Sounds Great! I'm grilling some salmon and brussels sprouts on Saturday for my dad, then steaks on Sunday.
For beverages, number 5 is still in the fermenter and plans are to install 2 more taps in my keezer this weekend, bringing me from 4 to 6 taps.

Y’all are making me want to smoke a brisket. Time for a Costco run.

I will be doing a midwest version of jambalaya. It will have chicken, kielbasa, pork, corn, roasted peppers, red onions and roasted brussels sprouts and green beans.

Prime Tomahawk Ribeye reverse seared is the plan.

250F smoker with Hickory until 120F internal. Then grilled at 550F over mesquite charcoal.
