Hydroponic hops vernalization
« on: August 16, 2018, 07:47:37 am »
Anyone have any experience with artificial vernalization of hydroponic hops? I've seen a few folks claiming to be doing it, but nothing on how it's being accomplished. I can't imagine throwing a rootball into the freezer without protecting it in some fashion.

I can't answer your question, but I can say they my hops are in flower pots and have survived -10oF over the winter. I wouldn't be phased by throwing a crown into a freezer.
Corn is a fine adjunct in beer.

And don't buy stale beer.
