It would appear that recycled is code for stolen... the cans had never been used before.  You can't unroll the seams and then re-seam them, so they are fresh empties, but I can guess they "fell off the back of a truck". 

The good news is no known human pathogens will grow in beer... assuming what they are putting in the cans was actually beer....

Isn't this about as lucrative as counterfeiting pennies out of real copper?

Imagine the disappointment when people get used to the fake beer and then stumble in to the real stuff later
