Ida Ordinary Bitter

Had been planning this ordinary bitter for a bit, decided to not let the storm stop me. The wind blew out the burner 5 times but it was a good day!

Recipe for 5.5 gallons:
6.5# Maris Otter
6 oz Steam malt
6 oz UK medium crystal
6 oz UK Amber malt
2 oz acidulated malt

5 grams gypsum & 2 grams calcium chloride to my soft water.

Mash at 154
60 min boil, would have went 90 but the wind!

Yeast is a repitch of of wyeast 1469 & omega oly-016 I’ve kept going for years.

Ferment at 68 during lag then raise to 70 for the duration.

nice, i was thwarted from my attempt to get 1469 even traveling to toronto to try to get it. i phoned the brewstore that had it and they said it was sold out. that looks like a pretty low OG. maybe im wrong? high 1.03s?
