W.A.H.

it stands for Wally's Ale Haus  and also my dad's initials

He was a brewmaster for Schmidt's Brewery when I was growing up - now that he's in his 80's I decided to try homebrewing and pick his brain for advice and ideas - and see if I can brew something he likes.

Macht's Nicht Brewing Company/Club

My cousin and I were making a beer when we realized we didn't have a particular ingredient.  "Macht's nicht," he said and we made a dunkelwiezen that went to the second round of Nationals.

I wanted the logo to have the look of a parachutists airborne wings.  Now you see why I'm not a graphic artist.

I haven't settled on any name, I come up with some pretty funny one's from time to time and the one or two in my head today I can't post without offending someone.

Edited to add:  Okay... I asked an Admin if I could post it and was given the green light on it (no pun intended) but I do expect someone may be offended, though I hope not.  I like it because it pretty much describes me and my brewing habits so its not meant to offend anyone or directed at anyone.  I can think of plenty of names for my brews that would fall in nicely with the brewery name and I'm pretty sure there is some history that could be attributed with it too.  Several commercial breweries have provacative names as well so upfront let me say I don't mean to offend anyone its just a somewhat catchy name.  So from hereon forth, let my brewery be known as "Alehouse Whore" and I claim any and all rights to it allowed by law... so if anybody or any group, corp or a Anybody snags it and uses it as or within their name or brand... I'll own you or it... at least some of it.    You all are my witnesses.  :D  ;D

My home-brewery name is Spider Brewing because it rhymes with my last name of Schneider and I like spiders. There was also a character on the Flintstones that was their creepy neighbor's (Addams family knock-off) pet spider whose name was Schneider. Whatever...
But my daughter created a logo and some cool beer labels based on Spider Brewing and some of the beers I make. She won a Silver medal in BYO magazine's label contest recently (thanks for all the prizes!) and I want to use these someday when I open my nano-brewery. She's on the Dean's List too! ;D Her website if you are interested: http://annalisaillustration.com/index.php?/design/spider-brewery/

She does really nice work.  Would she be for hire?  Seriously?  Mine is the Portico Brewery and I've been messing around with pics from the web, but can't find anything that doesn't look hokey when "designed" (I use that word loosely...) by myself.  Must be nice to be so talented.
