For me, it's an  ice cold Gin & Tonic with Fee Brother's Bitters and a squeeze of lime juice.

Gin and tonic made with Sapphire or one of our local distillery's gin (Pacific, Dry Fly).

Brown liquor and diet pepsi, I can go with Beam, Jack, Captain Morgan, Powers, etc.

In the winter, apple jack and warm cider.

Thanksgiving starts with Bloody Mary's, I make my own mix.

Single malt or Jameson's, neat.

Bombay Saphire for mine. I am a Cuba Libre fan all the way (Rum and coke with a lime).

Summer heat drink. A Mason Dixon:
1 oz of Sweet Tea flavored vokda (i use Sweet Carolines)
1 oz of Lemon flavored Vodka
1/2 oz of Simple syrup.
all in an ice filled 16oz pint glass fill with fresh brewed Ice Tea and garnish with a lime.
keep the ratio to boost and you could easily double this one, without really drawing
out the alcohol flavor...Very smooth, and equally dangerous. ;)

I premixed a growlers worth for a party once and I brought the fixins to keep refiling the growler. So many
people enjoyed it that we ran out of everything I brought, 2 bottles of each flavored vodka.

I will admit, borderline girlie though it may be considered to be, I was quite impressed the first time I tried a lemon flavored vodka.  Svedka Citron, bought it to mix some drinks for the wife...very mixable stuff, and affordable.  Heck, even beyond mixing, put a bottle of that in the freezer and pour a shot of it, it is quite pleasant!  Ultimately there isn't much difference between flavored vodkas and the caraway flavored akvavit that I so highly esteem, other than tradition, perhaps.

I make a pretty mean Bloody Mary mix myself but usually save those for (the morning after) special occasions.

I also do enjoy a fresh made mohito from time to time.  Muddling it with fresh mint leaves is the way to go.

However, if I'm drinking liquor it's usually scotch with a little ice or alternatively a dry Ketel One martini with sundried tomato olives.  If I'm trying to tone it down a bit then Jack and Coke is my fallback from college days.  These days though I really don't like soda of any kind all that much.

Normally, I like my liquor neat or on the rocks.  If I'm mixing:
Gin or Vodka tonics
Margaritas  (homemade...no mix)
Bloody Marys

I've never had a good Long Island.  I've heard they exist, but I'm skeptical.

The Perfect Margarita Recipe

(1 1/2 oz) of Sauza Tres Generaciones Resposada

(1 1/2 oz) of Cointreau

(1 oz) of fresh lime juice

14 medium ice cubes

lime wedge for garnish

salt for rim

This is like a moth to a flame . . I can't stop looking at it.

Pretty sure I will be moved to action. . .

 . . . And there weren't any hot babes selling it!  :D
Just brew it...

Another one of my favorites: Old Cuban.  It's basically a mojito with a little something "extra".

Mint
Lime
Simple Syrup
Mount Gay Rum
Fee Brothers Bitters
Cava

I'm not at liberty to publish the proportions, but it's served on the rocks and it's muy delicioso.

If it has to be mixed, It'd be Gin & Tonic with a nice twist of lime.  However, I prefer a shot of Jack Daniels mixed with a second Shot of Jack Daniels.  Or, just some nice gin on the rocks.
