Traduttore - Traditore / Kölsch in Spanish...
« on: February 04, 2019, 07:04:11 pm »
Please pass this to whom it may concern...

The pun in the title is an italian phrase that speaks to the fact that sometimes translators change the meaning of the original language.

Well, went to the main site to look for Kölsch article, and got the article I was looking for but in Spanish.  When I got to the water part, got to the table below, and knowing it was wrong, looked for the original, which confirmed that the original had ranges. mg/L and ppm are the same unit; the error in the table below is that it puts the lower number of the range in mg/L and the higher in ppm; the table should read:
Calcio: 35-110 mg/L (ppm) and so forth.

Hope it can be changed so Spanish readers do not get confused.

Cheers,

Perfil del agua de Colonia

• Calcio: 35 mg/l (110 ppm)

• Magnesio: 10 mg/l (15 ppm)

• Sodio: 25 mg/l (35 ppm)

• Sulfato: 70 mg/l (80 ppm)

• Cloruro: 35 mg/l (65 ppm)

• Bicarbonato: 80 mg/l (280 ppm)

Muchas Gracias!  It's fixed now.

Thankfully the formatting we are now using for more recent translations should avoid this kind of scenario.
