White Stout BJCP category
« on: February 26, 2019, 10:35:43 am »
Hi everyone, I have brewed a white stout that I am entering in competition and need some help figuring out what category to enter it under.

Aside from pale in color, the stout would be similar to a sweet stout (contains lactose, flake oats, and will add vanilla).  Initially I thought about using the 34C category.  But I wonder if it would be best submitted under another?

Any help would be appreciated!

Yes 34 C is experimental beer - for something other than a recognized existing style under the guidelines.  Be sure to list prominent features, so the judges get your point of reference.  I have had one white stout and it was quite tasty....
