2019 National Competition Acceptance Email
« on: February 01, 2019, 01:18:51 pm »
Just wondering if anyone has gotten their acceptance email for the 2019 National Competition? I registered within the first hour and I have made sure that I am receiving any and all emails (and checked spam). Sadly no emails yet.

-Cheers

I am in the same boat. Didn't register quite as soon as you did but still waiting on the acceptance email.

No need for worry yet.  Last year it was about a week after the enrollment closed before I heard anything.  No doubt there were others later than that too.

Do you mean the confirmation of your application? (I got mine immediately when I registered) or the one that tells you how many entries you got? The email confirming entries and asking for payment and recipe information won't go out until Feb 15th.

I got the confirmation email but the acceptance email is going out between 1-30 and 2-15. Just for safe practices I have double checked that I am subscribed to all emails.

Just got my acceptance email this afternoon.  Four entries in Boston region.

Can we change styles and names after paying for the entries?  I can't remember from last year.

I got Boston as well, which is kind of a bummer since I live in Los Angeles, guess I'll have to bottle a little earlier than planned.

On the plus side, Boston judging is a week before San Diego.

Yikes.  I only put in for Boston this year.  It will be nice to be able to drop them off (same goes for finals if any get through) instead on shipping.

The answer is yes... after you pay for them, you can change anything you want up to the time entries are due... with the exception of adding more entries, of course.

Why put down Boston as an option then if you don't mind me asking?

I got my two entries for Indianapolis, email got caught by a filter for some reason. Happened last year as well, so not unexpected.

I picked San Diego as my first choice, but in an effort to increase my chances of getting entries accepted, I also submitted that I was willing to ship to any location.

I've done that the past few years and always got San Diego, but this year it's Boston.   No big deal; I wouldn't have selected it if I wasn't willing to ship there.  It's all good.

So I never did receive my acceptance email but I checked my account one day and I had the option to add my 4 beers for San Francisco.
