I do not get flour at all.  For me, that unnatural haze turns me off.  The look is part of the drinking experience.  I do not enjoy all the hop matter either.  Not that I want a clear IPA, but not into the thought of flour/floaters in my brew.

If this is the region's attempt to take on the west coast IPA then count me out. We already have a good regional IPA, east coast IPA. Both it and British IPAs are underrated in my opinion. Why use some stupid gimick? That's a Budweiser-esque move.
Corn is a fine adjunct in beer.

And don't buy stale beer.

I don't get it either.  Although the beer tasted great, it was not an appealing pour.  Greenish tinted and literally looking like juice, I was concerned.  I have friends, though, that think this is what IPAs are supposed to look like now.

I feel like by keeping them uber-hazy they don't have to worry about filtering which probably allows for a better hop aroma and flavor. IMO there are other ways of doing this without selling a turbid looking product. Even when I have poured a Heady Topper out of the can it is filled with yeast and chunks floating in the glass unless you are very careful.

Doesn't the can say not to pour it?

I think so, but how is one supposed to enjoy the hop aroma the brewery worked so hard for if you schwill it out of the can?  I guess they figure if you don't pour it into a glass then they don't have to worry much about presentation.

I agree on both counts.

Love the glasses. This is my Alt.

Edit: and to why we wash these by hand right away...sticky hop oil in the lacing. ( switched to IPA after the alt)

Even the schwarzbier looks nice in this glass.

Yeah I have a brew day scheduled with the Zum Uerigue recipe Denny has posted several times, plus the tweaked version Jon has posted, both very similar, just trying to get a feel for the style, smallish batches of each 3gallons finished. Dont even know if I like Alt, but definitely want to try them out
