Pale Lager
3G batch, 1046 OG, 1008 FG
100% Briess Brewers Malt
22 IBU Warrior @ 60
WLP838
Yellow full water

I wanted to try a 100% Briess Brewers Malt beer to judge this malt for myself. Gotta say the beer is delicious. Pleasant malt flavor. No strong flavors just mellow malt goodness.

I have used Briess in lots of recipes but never 100%. I have also used Rahr many times and like it too. Next up a 100% Rahr 2-row beer, after I keg the 100% Weyermann Pils beer currently in the fermenter :)

Good lookin brew. I have a SMaSM conditioning now. (Rahr 2 row + Simcoe + Bry-97). I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully it'll look this ^^^^ good.

Dwayne, we need to get together for happy hour. I am at Blue Pants tonight. Trying to complete the Madison County brewery circuit (homework assignment from Keith). Two more after this: Mad Malts and Black Bear. Then there's GreenBus when they open.

Rgr that. Black Bear Cave City Lager is good stuff!  They also have awesome food. My son lives down the street.

I've not been to Brew Stooges/Mad Malts. Though they are actually closest to me, they have interesting hours and weird parking.

What do you think of the BRY-97?  Used it last year in an IPA.

What do you think of the BRY-97?  Used it last year in an IPA.

It was a slow starter but with patience it did start and finished nicely. It's really clean and neutral. The Simcoe's bold flavors are definitely prominent. I will definitely use it again.

That is exactly how I would describe it too. I even used an old(er) packet and it finished well, albeit taking a little longer than normal. Neutral and attenuating.

Recent Amber Ale came out Orange... tastes good though

And an attempt on a Brown ale that I just can't get right.  Not enough malty aroma

One of my standard triples. Dinged at NHC for color. Maybe the bottle was oxidized...

Nice!  Just be sure you put the right beverage into the right mouth.
