The color is reminiscent of an evening sunset on a tropical isle with my favorite gal of 33 years!
Way cool..........   8)

Jesus!  You know Ken's back at it when the foam is just jumping out of the glass! Love it! Looks great.

Yes, holy crap. What are you doing to get that whipped cream head on those beers? My head retention is ok but I've been toying with the idea of a 160F rest to increase. Anybody have thoughts?

Ken step mashes lagers, but I think he single infuses ales. I'm a big fan of 3% flaked barley for foam. My foam is similar, don't always capture it fully in pics.

Edit -  Ken, didn't mean to speak for you ! Just made me think of what I do.  ;D

no worries Jon. yes correct- single infusion my ales except my alt.  its just at 149F single infusion for 75 mins. quite honestly its just the loads of flameout hops creating that sticky luscious head in my IPA IMO.

Cool. Lots of hops definitely makes some nice, sticky foam! Those IPA glasses (being narrow at the top) are awesome for foam, too. That IPA looks awesome. I've been brewing German stuff for months - I'm about ready to knock out a resiny, hoppy one too.

Festbier
95% Floor Malted Pilsner
5% Floor Malted Dark Malt (Munich)

Good. But, I think I will double or triple the Munich next time.

My latest black IPA. Equal amounts of chinook and Columbus at FW, 60, and 5. A mountain of chinook, Columbus, cascade, centennial, and azacca at 175 degree whirlpool(2nd brew whirlpooling with a pump). Equal amounts of those hops as dry hops too. First time using Blackprinz. I'd say it's a touch roastier than carafa III, but still meets my needs with this style.

Oh the power of hops!

Any hints to take a good homebrew picture? Mine always look less clear than the actual beer, and the foam seems to be coarser...
