American Adjunct Lager w/ Honey.

This beer is pretty good, but, not sure I would brew it again. I like the flavor from the late Magnum. If I brewed this again I would leave out the 1% Honey Malt.

For 3 gallons @ 1048 OG
42% Pale 2-row
42% Pilsner
1% Honey Malt
15% Honey
21 IBU Magnum @ 60
0.25 oz. Magnum @ 0

I intended to ferment with WY2035 American Lager. SNS starter with 1L of wort from the batch never took off so I used a packet of S-189. Not sure if any American Lager yeast survived.

Pilsner, 100% Barke Pils.
Man that is beautiful!  Have to get on that malt. I've never used it. Nice

Barke  has more depth of flavor and touch more body IMO. I like and have used a lot of Dingemans, but this is a better malt IMO.

Yeah, I'm surprised it's not more widely circulated. The Barke Munich and Vienna are just stellar, too.  I've asked my lhbs to carry them. We'll see.

If its an heirloom variety, maybe there just isn't enough to go around.  The thought of all these heirloom varieties of barley that were discontinued for one reason or another in the past being rediscovered is pretty awesome.

The price mark up on this malt is ridiculous. You would probably ban me if I told you what I get it for.  Take about $10 off the cheapest domestic malt sack you can find.

Bsg gets and turns the stuff Like it's been going out of style. On average the sacks I get are about a month old. You guys can thank me later for making it available to the homebrewer market.
