The Ponderer Imperial Stout (9.9%)

Forgot to snap pic just after pouring (and drinking some :) ) but this one is quite good to look at even after it’s been sitting:

Mmm, I think I can actually smell it in that 2nd pic...

Here's a pic of the Battlecow Galacticose I brewed for Big Brew Day, still need to add the last hop addition though. Turned out very tasty.

I found my knife!  It must have fallen out of my pocket and ended up under my easy chair. I’ve had it since Desert Storm so I kinda like it. In celebration I think I’ll have a beer!

Cascade American Pale Ale (the Alabama humidity hides the fact that it’s clearer than it looks).

Looking good. I can confirm it is impossible to a condensation free pic right now in Bama.

Finding a knife that fell in your chair rarely has such a happy ending!  Cheers!  Looks nice anyway.  (I myself recently realized I may not be able to get a decent pic again until winter.)

In subsequent recipes I’ve lightened the color a bit. Other than probably being an Amber Ale vs a Pale Ale, this is a tasty pint!

Imperial Stout made with flaked oats, lactose, and aged on cacao nibs.  It came out so smooth it's scary.

Looks good!  Love amarillo.  Haven't used it alone yet, but a great hop nonetheless.

Patio Vibes Wheat - 5.8% 37 IBUs

I swore for years I would never ever brew an American wheat.  After tasting this I wonder what took me so long.  Loads of wheat malt and Citra and Amarillo hops.  Perfect summer beer.

As much as I wanted to like them, after drinking a lot of wheat beers in Germany I decided I really don’t care for them. However, the American adaptation with citrusy hops vs the banana is much more appealing to me.  Looks great!

I agree - though once in a long while I’ll have a Hefeweizen.  This one is super citrusy in aroma and hop flavor with a nice subtletly wheat malt flavor.  Very summery

The German ones that tend more to clove than banana I found more refreshing, but you can only take so much.   But I too have come to appreciate the newer American version, though I never cared for the first generation ones.  I like the way the creaminess of the wheat can underpin the hops.  Almost like lemon pie.
