Tapped my Black IPA, Black Old Son (with apologies to the band Soundgarden).  My wife inspired the name by misunderstanding the name of the song!

My Spotted Cow clone, I've never actually had this brew from New Glarus, I look forward to having it someday!

Nice color, nice foam, nice glass.  Looks very Pils-y.  Yeah that's a word now.

Thanks. New hop schedule that I’m a bit disappointed with. Not bitter enough at 42 ibus but I think that may have to do with getting a lot of ibus from later additions.

I look forward to making it every year (as does my wife and my neighbors).  The homegrown Cascade this year seemed slightly more perfumy than in other years which added another dimension to the beer.  It came out damn good.

I'm super proud of this brew! It's a clone recipe of Schell's Pilsner, and has the best foam I've ever gotten on one of my lagers. (the condensation makes it look less clear than it really is -- it's just a shade shy of brilliant, but I'll accept that when the head is this amazing).

A tall, frothy head on my lagers has been a long quest of mine, and it's nice to finally meet the goal. Now to duplicate it in another batch!

For anyone who is curious, I blogged the details here: https://andybrews.com/2019/10/05/schells-pils-clone/
