This has turned out nice. Kveik yeast handed out at HomebrewCon. Chinook and MI Copper hops I got after working the AHA both at Bell's, they were doing a hop rub for people. About 6+% damn it is drinkable.

Easy on the eyes, for sure - which Kviek strain, if I might ask?

Escarpment labs was handing out small ziplock bags at HomebrewCon. The bag had all 5 strains they have. There was no way of knowing which was which, so I used all to make starter.

I brewed this beer at the begging of October. The kveik yeast was in a flask in the basement fridge. Two days ago I gave it some wort. In less than hour it showed signs of activity, the at two hours it was very active. Much faster than the other two strains I fed.

This is something that I'm calling an "American Ale" or "American Pub Ale" which I realize is not really a style.

Some Golden Promise and wheat and then 4 ounces each of Special B and some dark UK crystal.  Northern Brewer early and late but relatively low IBUs (like 25 or so) and then 1056.  An easy-drinker for sure.  For those wondering, the hockey game in the background is a replay from the NHL playoffs in 2010...  Blackhawks vs. Sharks.  Yes, we're desperate for sports over here.  :P

Looks good! Is that a custom made drip tray? Expensive?

I think I moved my faucets from double tower to the wall about 10 years ago and found that drip tray at that time and it was hard to find.  I needed it to be long (that's what she said) but I didn't want to spend $200 on it.  I think I found it somewhere online for like $59.  Here's a better look...

I get a lot of emails from these places like Kegworks, Beverage Depot, Beverage Factory, etc.  I think I picked mine up from them.  Before that when I had a double tower, one of my brewing buds found (of all things) a 'soap dish' that he picked up at Home Depot in the bathroom and plumbing aisle.  It was about 4-5' wide and maybe 7-8" long, rectangular, stainless steel and it had a "base" and then a criss-cross, wire design on top so the soap was not sitting in water.  BUT IT LOOKED LIKE A DRIP TRAY!  I went to my HD and sure enough I found it and used it for years.  When I sold the tower I sold the tray too.  :P  Good luck.

Ps.  It looked very much like this:
