Beautiful beer as always.
Has anyone ever mentioned that the phrase ‘Authentic German Beer’ on your glass might better be translated ‘Authentisch Deutsches Bier’ or ‘Biere’ (beers).
I believe the term ‘Deutsch’ refers to the German language while ‘Deutsche’ referred to the German people. ‘Deutsches’ would refer to ‘the way of the German people’ or possibly even ‘Deutscher’ referring to ‘in the German people’s art’.
It reminds me of when Kennedy said he was a jelly roll when he intended to say he was a citizen of Berlin. Of course, the citizens of Berlin overlooked the faux pas.
Likewise, I have slept since speaking German on a daily basis and I could be way off. If so, please pardon my faux pas and disregard everything after “Beautiful beer as always.”
