My wife and I like to bike and we can make it to a small quasi-country town nearby which has a number of places to get a beer including a craft brewery with a large outdoor area so we day drink on weekends for sure.  We once went shopping for an appliance or something and there was a popular beer joint nearby that we rarely get to so we went in there for beer and lunch.  The beers showed up (I remember getting a Pivo Pils) and I took a sip and said, "You know what's awesome?" and my wife said, "Day drinking?".  She read my mind.

And the Lord declared. "Damn that's a fine looking glass of mixed berry mead at 12% ABV fermented with Lavlin 71B.
Somewhat ironically I was trying to get a pic simply of how perfectly clear the mead is which doesn't show, but it is. Good pics though I think.

Beautiful!

Here's one that I just moved to corny kegs.  Traditional made with goldenrod honey.

Looks pretty. Our fall honey is dominated by goldenrod and it’s really nice.
Don't let the bastards cheer you up.

Love boddingtons pub ale on nitro. Inspired by that based on what I thought would get there. Not close to the clone recipe but surprisingly similar in flavor.

Nice work.  It definitely seems British-ish with the MO, UK crystal and S-04.  Looks delish.  I'll be right over.  I'll cut through the yards so bring your dog in and turn off your motion light.  :P

I figured the oats took it out of any style. Complete different flavor profile than I’m used to. Normally go the German route. Cmon over!

Okay, on the way over.  I'll bring some of this... it's the "simple beer" I posted about:  Pilsner, Vienna, Copper Malt, Edelweiss hops and 838...

Yum! Looks as good as all of your beers. What’s copper malt all about?

Briess Carapils Copper Malt.  It's a 30L malt (hard as a rock, btw) that lends some depth of flavor, color, really nice head formation and stability and I feel like it brings a really nice smoothness to the beer.  This beer just has 2.5% (4 ounces in 10 pounds).

We gotta do something about the name though.  "Brown" and "deuce" together is making me a little twitchy.  :D
