I’ve been trying kviek strains this summer and haven’t been impressed until now, Lutra. This is a 4.25% abv 97% Pilsner malt & 3% acid malt with all helge hops to 20 ibus fermented at 69f. It’s so clean and beautiful! Currently brewing an APA with it.

Looks good. Lutra seems to be consensus for clean Kviek yeast. I tried Lalbrew Voss Kviek. It was definitely not a clean fermentation.

Blackberry sour fermented with Philly sour yeast. Very pleased with how it turned out.

This was yesterday out in the greenhouse and safe from the rain.  A very simple American Pale Ale with Avangard 2-row, a touch of Caravienne and then Sterling, Ultra and Santiam hops throughout and fermented with BRY-97.  Crisp and delicious.

Back in May I helped a buddy of mine brew his first beer.  It was just the recipe kit for an Amber that came with his homebrew starter package, so nothing complex.  But it came out pretty tasty and has a nice sweet finish.  At 4.5%, a great summer drinking beer.  He seemed to be pretty happy with it and has plans to brew again.

That looks like it came out really well for his first beer. He should be hooked.

I always seem to have crap lighting and weather when I'm drinking a beer I want to take a picture of. The goal on this IPA wasn't haze, but it comes with the territory given the amount of hops used. It was my first time using the Lallemand NEIPA yeast, and while I can't necessarily pick up much of an ester profile given the truckload of hops, I am quite happy with its performance.

Edit: Tapatalk is being weird and won't complete my upload. I'll try again later

If possible, try to get a shot of the beer outside.  If that doesn't work, try to get some light behind it as best as possible.  I am not a photographer or even close to one.  But the phones these days can take some nice shots without even trying.  My Pixel 3A may have the best camera I have had on a phone.  all that said, for every decent shot I take, there are 10 crappy ones.  :D

I had to take two pics of this one.  It's so schputzy outside that you couldn't see the clarity.  This is my Cabana Lager (pilsner, vienna, flaked corn, Hallertau, Omega 113 Mexican) inside and outside...

Great in the summer heat & humidity.
