Looks great as usual. Definitely looks like a gold lager.

It looks lighter in person.  I think this was 95% pilsner and 5% Copper Malt and that's where it's getting the color.  I also have an Italian Pils on tap that's 97.5% pilsner and 2.5% Copper and it's quite pale and more crisp from the late hopping.  I'll get a pic of that one at some point too.  Cheers tommymorris.

My "Blonde Redhead".  Pilsner, flaked corn, some Copper Malt and a pinch of Special B.  Northern Brewer & Spalt Select hops and White Labs 940.

So, can you taste the Special B or is it just for color? Sounds good.

I always wondered what those ridges where, on the ring of a paint can opener.

No, the Special B does not come through.  It's a very small amount... like 1.5 ounces in 10 pounds of grain.  I like some music by a band called Blonde Redhead and I thought, "That would be a good name for a beer" and started noodling with a recipe.  I have made this one 5-6 times now... always the same although the hops can be interchanged easily.  I had some family over and they were drinking some of my other beers and then someone tapped a glass of this and was telling everyone else how good it was and it went quickly so I have made it ever since.  I bet that dry Baja yeast would be a good sub for the 940.

I made a nice label for it too...

American Brown Ale:

*Disclaimer*: Any comment I add is simply the way I brew beer. There are certainly other ways that can be equally effective which other brewers may contribute. This is what I’ve found that works for me using my equipment and processes so I offer this for your consideration. YMMV

Love the label!!

I used to make labels for all my beers. I haven’t done it in a while. You might nudge me back into it.

I used to make labels *AND* tap handles and it got to be too much so then I did this...

Standard handles and a 4-way picture frame.  When a keg blows I change the label in the frame for that tap.  I'm digging it.

My marzen. A lot clearer than it looks! Dimpled mugs and condensation don’t help
