Very nice, Deathlylost!

Here's my None More Black IPA. This is everything I love in a beer. Oh so good. Cascade, Chinook, and Simcoe for the hops. This is one of those beers where you hit a grandslam and wouldn't change a thing about it.

That looks amazing. Good combo of hops. I love when you hit a recipe spot on. Make one wish there was more than 1 batch of it. Savor it while you can. Very nice.

Same here. I've used that combo in black IPA - I love the 'pineyness' in black IPA.

There are hardly any black IPAs available commercially anymore. That fad has come and gone. If I ever open a brewery, this will be my flagship beer, kind of like 21st Amendment made their Back in Black their flagship. That's a very good beer and, sadly, I can't get it here in Iowa.

Yeah, they're disappearing. Stone SSR is gone. There's a brewery here in town that makes the best one I've ever had. It's big (just under 8%) and is made with these hops I believe. It's dry enough and drinkable enough to be dangerous .But it's a damn seasonal, which is a shame. Luckily I can brew.

I love a good black IPA. My black IPA has that hop combo with the addition of Columbus and have also used cents and galaxy in it to.

Fat Heads makes a killer black IPA, Ken. I forget what it's called. Something head lol. I can't remember off the top of my head... Pun certainly intended.

They made midnight moonlight black IPA......but it's gone. Nothing in their rotation anymore.

Apparently that was it. It didn't ring a bell, but I went back in Untappd and sure enough, that was it. It was a relatively small batch if I remember correctly. It was killer!

Yeah, it makes me sad. Black IPA is so unique. It's combining two beer styles I love - schwarzbier and IPA. Very nice combo. Mine is 6.4% around 60 IBU. I don't think black IPA needs to be double IPA strength.
But I may have to try tossing some centennials in to my next batch. This has a blend of 1.5oz of each; .75oz of the blend at FWH, 20, 15, 10, 5, and 0 for 4.5oz total. And the yeast is WLP838 fermented at about 55F. I pretty much use lager yeast for everything nowadays, except for Belgians or hefes.

I'm a terrible photographer but somebody else took a pic of one of my American Amber Lagers that came out real nice:

My uncarbonated Biere de Garde. It cleared up a lot which I think is inconsistent with style but the aroma and taste are pure Franco-belge style.
