Japan-Breweries/Sake Breweries

I'm headed to Japan next week (Kobe/Osaka/Kyoto), any tips on breweries or sake breweries to visit? Any other highlights?

Update: I wasn't able to find a whole lot of craft beer, but I didn't spend a lot of time looking in particular. Asahi & Kirin seemed to dominate the market. I had a nice pale ale in Kyoto though.


Spent a lot more time wandering around, checking out the sakura (cherry blossoms) which were in full bloom.
