Yeh, the pic is blurry. I'd blame it on the camera but everybody would know it was the operator's fault anyway. That pic was from yesterday morning. I set something on the kitchen table while I was making coffee and there they were! It was the first time they had come so close to the house and I wasn't expecting it, they weren't expecting me either so we both kinda jumped back. I hustled for the camera and clicked off a couple thinking I wouldn't see them again. They hung around long enough for my wife to get up and see them, plus she let our cat "Chuckie" in that was on the deck near them... go figure.
I'll see if I can get a better pic that isn't so blurry, I've got another but it takes ages to upload it with my connection.
I've never tried cooking wild turkey, I've heard mixed reviews on it. Apparently they are only good if they're cooked in a bag method, otherwise they're tough as boot leather... just from what I've heard.
Somethings I think are funny is the Tom's all hang together once they hit a certain age it seems (kinda like deer) and they won't breed unless there is another turkey present to "witness" it.
Gordon, that pic kinda looks like the scenes from an alien encounter as depicted on TV, are you sure you weren't abducted from your back yard and the last thing you recall is cleaning out a barrel?
