None the next two weekends, except for a little "research" here and there. Vicariously enjoying other folks' brewdays on the Forum!

No brewing for me this weekend.  I'll be getting ready to move into our first house!  We don't move for a few weeks, but there are some preparations that need to be made (painting, some electrical work, buying a chest freezer now that I'll have room for a 4+ tap kegerator!!).   8)

The APA I brewed last weekend is finished, so I'm crash cooling it now and will keg it tonight or tomorrow.  I've got a dopplebock to keg at the same time.  That and finishing re-doing the hoses in my keezer, washing kegs, and maybe doing a little organizing of the brew heap.  It's too hot here to do anything outside, it's already in the high 80s.

I'm moving into Belgian ales this weekend.  I went to a store and bought a Chimay Triple in the hopes of cultivating some yeast.  Threw the yeast from my bottle into a starter last night and....nothing, I'm extremely disappointed.  Off to my LHBS for me for some yeast!

WY1214 is Chimay yeast.  I know White has an equivalent, but I don't know what it is.

If SWMBO concurs, I'll be doing a double-dog-dare brew day on Sunday:

Brew 1: Fetchez la Vache - a Biere de Garde - Mash in at 9:00; boil by 11:00
Brew 2: Vader - Cascadian Dark Ale - Mash in at 11:30; boil by 1:30

Gotta have some fall/winter brews on tap!  ;D

Welp, that didn't happen due to a mishap with my water filter. Trying again this weekend. Same schedule, different day...
