I'm with dmtaylor.  I don't get citrus at all from Mosaic, more like blueberries and stale pee.

Oh! I have never used Mosaic by itself. I guess the citrus is coming from other hops.

Yummie. Stale pee!  (I may need to rethink the Mosaic American Pale Ale I am planning later this Summer.)

No, I'd like your analysis!  I've only had Mosaic as a single hop in a couple of commercial beers, where I didn't care for them.  But I've used them in a blend for the pronounced blueberry effect.  That's really interesting,  but that and the, I presume, 4MMP, can be a little one dimensional (ok 2 dimensional) and needs something else.  But the only way to really know a hop is to do a single hop test brew.  Or drink someone else's.   Don't know if Founder's still make Mosaic Promise, SMaSH with Golden Promise.  If so, you could try that.

I have never tasted pee with this hop. I admit I have only used it twice. Both times I loved it. I mixed it both times with other hops.

Mosaic is currently my favorite hop.  I just bought a pound of it from Hop Heaven and used it as a whirlpool addition yesterday.  I used Sterling as a first wort hop in this beer.  Although I have never smelled 4MMP in Mosaic, I may perceive it differently than others.
