Gas check valves
« on: July 14, 2019, 01:02:58 pm »
Anyone running a their lines with check valves?  What are you using?

I've got a two-way splitter for my gas line, which I typically use for a portable set up.  It's a pain because if its not balanced I sometimes get liquid up in the gas line.

I bought some check valves yesterday from AiH (after I got liquid in the lines again) that will go on the QDs but was also thinking about something in-line also.  Amazon has a bunch of fuel line check valves, but I'm not sure that's what I want.

I use a gas manifold that has built in check valves.  I think that is the way to go.

They do also make gas disconnects with built in check valves.

Thanks. I’ve got a manifold for the fridge but have been using a t-splitter for the rolling party bar.

The valves I just bought are similar to the disconnect you linked to. But sort of an add on.

I use these, which are separate from the ball lock QDC itself:

Thanks.  That's similar to what I ordered.

I suppose having it at the QD is the best place.

FWIW, If you ever disassemble CMB Gas Ball Lock Fitting With Check Valves, this is how they should be reassembled. I received this photo from the mfr:

I'm using these on both of my tanks/regulators, both of which have Y fittings.  Pushing cider into one of the regulators was a mess, and a lesson learned for sure.  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P3HF1LY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
