Rest In Peace, babalu87
« on: May 30, 2019, 04:18:18 AM »
Jeff Fuller (babalu87) was a very knowledgeable, energetic, and creative contributor to several homebrewing forums, including this one, until about 9 years ago when a terrible affliction known as Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) from a damned mosquito bite permanently damaged his brain and nervous system, changing his life forevermore.  Although I never met him in real life, he was as much a brother to many of us as anyone.

Now today we just got word (through Facebook) that he has passed on from this world, age 52.

So let's all raise a glass to this big, good, strong man, who I know loved this hobby as much or more than anyone else I've ever known.

And please excuse the cheese but I do believe the following non-beer-related SFW video is most fitting.

Feel free to share stories and memories here.  Rest In Peace, babalu87.

Dave, thanks for the update. I've often wondered what was happening with Jeff Fuller.

Thanks for posting this Dave. He was very active on the forum before he became ill.

I had just been thinking about him last week for some reason and wondering how he was doing.  Sad news.

Thanks for letting us know.

I remember him; that's sad to hear.

So he really *did* win the Sam Adams Longshot... but never got to brew for it.  Now that makes me really sad.

So sad to hear that.  I remember when it happened and his fellow club members started a fundraising account for his family.  Many of us on this board contributed and I hope it helped them out in some small way.  No one deserves to be stricken like that in the prime of life.  God Bless and may he rest in peace.
