Brut IPA Style Description
« on: July 03, 2019, 12:22:20 pm »
The OGs seem really high in this article: https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/how-to-brew/brut-ipa-style-description-1-0/

I made a comment on it "OG range seems very high compared to recipes I've seen style-wise, maybe 1.046 - 1.070 is more appropriate. 1.060 -> 1.004 would be a 7.3% beer, the lowest you could go with your range, doesn't match your alcohol range."

But received no reply, thoughts?

I agree, I'm usually in the lower 6 range.
Some day we'll look back on this and it will all seem funny

Yes that seems to be the standard IPA range. Those would be wicked strong.
