Laugh In and Hollywood Squares seemed to be all I can remember him in, but he always stood out as a really funny guy.

Centenarian cerebral ossification had me confused, I read Arte Johnson but was visualizing Wally Cox tipping over on the tricycle, completely forgetting "ferry interesting, BUT SHTUPIT!" It's been a few years - but you know Goldie is still pretty damn hot:-).
I spent most of my money on beer, tools and guns, the rest I foolishly squandered on stupid stuff!

Wikipedia says the Illinois Nazi was Henry Gibson -- also on Laugh In.

Henry played the Nazi officer, and Arte played the German Army SGT always peering out from between the bushes.  Throw Ruth Buzzi in the mix and it always was funny.
