Ideal Temperature for Bottle Carbonation?
« on: September 18, 2019, 10:09:13 am »
I'm going to leave soon on a 10-day vacation and have a batch that I bottled on 9/16/19.  Current temps outside my house are 90 F plus in the afternoon hours and I will turn the thermostat higher saving energy while I'm gone.  I do have a fridge with temp control that I could put the beer in while I'm gone and let the rest of the house stay at a higher temp.

What temp would be ideal for bottle carbonation?  Its primed for 2.5 volumes of CO2.

Thanks in advance for your advice.
It's easier to read brewing books and get information from the forum than to sacrifice virgins to appease the brewing gods when bad beer happens!

It will be fine at room temperature, probably better for carbonation than in the fridge.  Keep it in a cool, dark spot in the house.
