Death by coconut
« on: October 05, 2019, 10:52:29 am »
I tried one of these last night - sandwiched between a couple pints of Zonker stout. My opinion of the DBC would probably have been better if it weren't for the Zonkers, but I found the DBC to be a bit too sweet and candylike, definitely not what I'd expect from Oskar Blues. It struck me as a "gurly" beer, if I'm allowed to say that here. The Zonkers of course were splendid, as always.
I spent most of my money on beer, tools and guns, the rest I foolishly squandered on stupid stuff!

I'm a fan of Death By Coconut.  It's definitely very sweet.  I think someone needs to be in the mood for a dessert-like beer to enjoy this.  I remember the first time I had it thinking it tasted just like an Almond Joy in a can.

Definitely a far cry from Ten Fiddy or Old Chub.
