I'm going with "Humboldt County, CA" rather than my city.  Everyone knows where Humboldt is  ;D

Just got my fledgling homebrew club registered with the AHA.  Humboldt Homebrewers are not a serious group (incorporated, non profit, etc.) but we get together and do some cool stuff.

I've moved several times in the past few years, and I don't expect this location to be more than one or two years, but right now I live in Davis, California (where I went to college from 2002-2005). My girlfriend is getting her teaching credential and M.A. here for the next 1-2 years. For those who don't know California, that's 15 miles west of Sacramento and 75 miles east of San Francisco.

Did it work?

My location is NOT a commentary on how exciting it is in Oregon, but actually the name of my town.

We're even- I've been to Noti many times as well.

Fearless Brewing is in Estacada ~10 miles away.  We call that "country close"

Hey, the Ann Arbor Brewers Guild (AABG) has been together since 1986 on just that basis!  We are up to 120 members, and are still creative anarchists.  No real officers, and if someone suggests a project, he or she gets to organize it.  We've done dozens of projects that way, from State Fair judging to bourbon or wine barrel fills to Big Brews.

Glad you're making it work that way, too.

Mine was, and still is in the signature line. If you are ever in town look me up...
And by town I mean Denver....I'm in a Sub-suburb...Where my neighbors aren't cookie-
cuttered and shoe horned into the neighborhood. We have elbow room.  8) ;D

OK. you're right.  It also rains every day.  Please tell all of your California friends how miserable it is in Oregon  ;)

But it's better than Washington.  No one wants to move here, the weather is terrible.  They'd be better off in Oregon, or even better if they just stay in California. :)

I think the Portland economy is enough to keep Californians away - those of us who aren't at retirement age. That's what made me leave. Maybe some of them are moving to Seattle instead (frankly, I liked Seattle better, anyway).

Iowa City, Iowa!

I'm not sure why mine doesn't show though, I have it in my profile...

Ah yes...Iowa City!   I spent quite a few lost weekends both there as well as Ames, back in the early 70's (both the parties and the music scene there were usually better than where I was going to school in Storm Lake).   The weekends were a bit of a fog, but I did almost always make it back to Stormy Creek in time for Monday classes.
Fun times they were.
I managed to get back to IA for a visit a few years ago, for the first time in more than 25 years.  Amazing to me how much things have changed out there since my time there  in 1970!

Al, you and I must have been in Ames and Ia. City at about the same time.
