Using brew bag with Pico Z1?
« on: November 23, 2019, 12:42:48 pm »
Just for the sake of convenience during clean up, I am considering using a brew bag to hold the grain in the Pico Z1 step filter. I have many brews under my belt and the clean up isn't terrible by any means. I am usually brewing on weeknights so anything to help speed cleanup is welcome. My searching so far hasn't yielded any results.

Not sure if using it is going to mess up the flow during mash, etc. Anyone else doing this?

Thanks!

I wouldn't do it, or at least talk to Kevin there first.  Remember, the system wasn't designed for that. And I don't see how cleanup would be any faster than dumping the grain and rinsing stuff off.

That's what I needed to hear :) It would save me bending over my basement bathtub and cursing at the grain I spill that inevitably misses the plastic tub when dumping, etc. Little annoyances for sure. Definitely not worth screwing around with my z performance.

Thanks, Denny!
