or they'll show him a toy and ask who's toy is this and he'll correctly answer which of his kids it belongs to.

Wow, I don't think I can even do that. Jeff, you're the man.

Awesome progress.

Update: 11/4/2010

Jeff continues his slow but steady progress.  He's gained movement in his other foot now.  So that gives him movement in both hands and feet and movement in his left arm, wrist and elbow.   He's been mouthing words a lot lately and to get him one step closer to talking, they replaced his tracheotomy tube with a smaller one.  This one will allow him to at least partially breathe through his mouth and nose.  Once he get's used to it, they will be able to cap it and it will allow him to at least whisper.

They continue to slowly increase his central nervous system stimulant and slowly reduce his phenobarbital.  As a result of that, he seems to be even more alert.  They had him sitting on the side of his bed doing therapy for 45 minutes today.  His caregivers are very happy with his progress lately.

He's still got a long road to recovery, but he's moving in the right direction and that's something we can all be thankful for.

Keep up your prayers and positive thoughts.  They seem to be working!

I know some of y'all don't believe in prayer or whatever.

 But some of you do.

For those of you that do, it works...this is proof.

You can do it Jeff!
In a humble log cabin off an unregarded back road, somewhere, deep in the heart of Pennsylvania’s hill country, we find our intrepid hero — the Brush Valley Brewer.

Darn right it works. And it works best when praying for others IMO. One had better prepare for God's sense of humor when praying selfishly. Hope that doesn't offend anyone it's just my experience.

This is great news about Jeff! Say a prayer and raise a pint!
